Christmas Time! :)

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house

Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,

In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there;

The children were nestled all snug in their beds,

While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads;

And mamma in her 'kerchief, and I in my cap,

Had just settled down for a long winter's nap,

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,

I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.

Away to the window I flew like a flash,

Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow

Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below,

When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,

But a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny reindeer,

With a little old driver, so lively and quick,

I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick.

More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,

And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name;

"Now, Dasher! now, Dancer! now, Prancer and Vixen!

On, Comet! on Cupid! on, Donder and Blitzen!

To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!

Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!"

As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,

When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky,

So up to the house-top the coursers they flew,

With the sleigh full of toys, and St. Nicholas too.

And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof

The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.

As I drew in my hand, and was turning around,

Down the chimney St. Nicholas came with a bound.

He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot,

And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot;

A bundle of toys he had flung on his back,

And he looked like a peddler just opening his pack.

His eyes -- how they twinkled! his dimples how merry!

His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!

His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,

And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow;

The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth,

And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath;

He had a broad face and a little round belly,

That shook, when he laughed like a bowlful of jelly.

He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,

And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself;

A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,

Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread;

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,

And filled all the stockings; then turned with a jerk,

And laying his finger aside of his nose,

And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose;

He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,

And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.

But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight,

"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night."

Correction...

"Fugitives" is not part of Season 4 of Heroes... It's only called Volume 4 that will make up the last 12 episodes of Season 3... haha... I made some research and I found out that I have mistaken... lol... *apologizes* :)

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year...

THAT'S IT!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

ENJOY THE HOLIDAYS!!!

:)

Heroes Volume 4: Fugitives

Hooray!... Last night, I was able to finish watching season 3 of Heroes. Well, just like the previous seasons, it ended with a sneak peak of the next season, which is volume 4: "fugitives"... It just keeps getting worse and worse... *SPOILERS* Nathan has now changed his allegiance... haha... He told the president about the abilities and all... He wanted to have a facility where they could keep all those people with abilities (including our beloved Heroes) so that blah blah blah... haha... just watch the last episode and you'll see (know) why... haha! :) Happy Watching!!!

Woot Woot...

Whoa! It's almost time for Christmas! haha... I'm getting a bit excited. Well, before that, I have some activities to attend to. First is our concert with the Manila Chamber Singers at the Philamlife Auditorium; Dec. 14. Second is our violin recital at Claret; same date but in the afternoon. Third is the mini-concert at UST which is to be done the following day. Haha... I'm having a hectic schedule here but it SHALL be done! Actually, I really don't have much time to blog that's why my previous post was almost a month ago. Well...well...well... January 23, 2009 is the date we've all been waiting for. It's the annual Himig Tomasino competition. I'm very excited but a bit nervous. haha. I hope we'd end up winning the said event. Good Luck To Us!!! I guess that's it... more posts... SOON...
P.S. A lot of things happened recently but I was unable to post about it. Well, i'll try to post it next time. lol... if there's time...lol...

It's A Night To Remember...

My day started off pretty well... discrete math: good enough, calculus: my first board work, sociology: i paid attention REALLY! haha... Immediately after our classes, Jo, Sol, and I went to the SOCC office to help for the USTv Choice Awards Kick-Off Party. At first, it was easy, get this, get that, copy this, copy that, write this, write that, but, as the time progressed, Jo had to leave us with a task that we're running out of time to finish. First of all, Sol left us at 1pm to attend her PE class and she returned 2 hrs. later. Our afternoon works were filled with repairs and reconstructions; the so-called "lipsticks" and the much-awaited "TV" for the parade... haha... In the end, we finished constructing the "lipsticks", which were supposed to be like a trophy, and fortunately for us the TV stand will NOT be able to support the TV itself so it needed a little help from me and Chino (he's a new friend that I met together with Geli). Well, if you noticed, I italicized some words to show a bit of sarcasm (a LOT actually!). What really occurred is that in order for the TV to be able to stand, Chino and I had to stand up above the platform (i guess it was elevated at 1.5 to 2.5 feet) inside the back of the pickup truck and hold it while it roams around the campus for the parade. It was a heck of an effort but we came out still intact and not injured because of some sort of a fall or something. Of course there were some incidents that we almost fell but luckily, we did not! Thank GOD! After the ride, we were very tired and thirsty so Geli, Chino, and I went to MiniStop for a drink.

"Crowd Control": Our Next Mission.... The program started and then, here comes the artists... I've never realized that it was SOOOO hard to control a crowd whenever there's a celebrity (if you call them one). When the Survivor Castaways arrived, lots of people started to pile up just beside the GMA7 booth. There were only three of us so we lacked manpower to block some fans from cramming the area. The celebrities, however, were very 'within reach' from us. It's like they were just your seat mate or whatever. Fans continued pouring until after the interview, where they (the castaways) left to eat and eventually, to leave the premises. haha... It was hard to assist someone who's known by the public especially when everyone would want to grab a picture with them or an autograph maybe. Among the castaways, i guess 'patani' and kiko were the most favored ones but Emerson and the other girl is not doing bad though. haha... Well, actually, there were a lot of artists but we just focused on the Survivors 'cause we were like assigned to them. There's Mark Herras, Gabby dela Merced, Judha Paolo, etc... At last, the party ended at 9pm.

Overall, the party was a huge success! It was a BLAST! It was worth all the efforts! I was able to meet new friends. Most definitely, I was able to gain some kind of an experience to I-don't-know-what and I'm just really happy that it went so well!

It was a night to remember because of the shooting star that I saw when I was about to leave UST! haha.... *makes a wish* =)

NEW QUOTE!

"We all use math every day; to predict weather, to tell time, to handle money. Math is more than formulas or equations; it’s logic, it’s rationality, it’s using your mind to solve the biggest mysteries we know." ~NUMB3RS

Skating 101

Today was a busy day; not about studying and all but about FUN! haha..

Well, after enrolment, my friends and I (Threegeder!) went to the mall to give ourselves a break and, of course, to bond! haha...

First, we reserved tickets for the movie that we watched (HSM3) and then, we went ice skating. haha... Since it's our first time to skate, except for Joanna, we looked like total losers beside those skaters who were fast, graceful, etc; some of them were doing lutz and spins and everything. Actually, I envy them 'cause for the simple fact that they were great! Hopefully we were able to get-off the rails and do some rounds. The funniest part was when i took a great FALL!!! haha... I fell on my butt HARD! haha... but, I learned my lesson and was able to get-up pretty nice *batting eyelashes* lol. I'd definitely try skating again soon although I haven't mastered the proper footwork yet. HAHA! If someone out there is an expert skater, please, do teach us how! Surely, after an hour of newbie skating, we went to see the movie ('Twas nice!).

Overall, the whole moment was REALLY AWESOME! It was one of the best times of my life. =)

NOTE: Heavy Rain = the HARDCORE Umbrella of my MOM... haha *chuckles*

NUMB3RS

NUMB3RS is a drama about an FBI agent who recruits his mathematical-genius brother to help the Bureau solve a wide range of challenging crimes in Los Angeles. The two brothers take on the most confounding criminal cases from a very distinctive perspective. Inspired by actual events, the series depicts how the confluence of police work and mathematics provides unexpected revelations and answers to the most perplexing criminal questions. A dedicated FBI agent, Don Eppes (Rob Morrow), couldn't be more different from his younger brother, Charlie Eppes (David Krumholtz), a brilliant mathematician who, since he was little, yearned to impress his big brother. Don is joined on his team by fellow agents Megan Reeves (Diane Farr), a behavioral specialist who brings psychological insight to their investigations; David Sinclair (Alimi Ballard), who utilizes his incredible perspective and the survival skills he learned growing up in the Bronx; and new agent Colby Granger (Dylan Bruno) who just completed an extensive tour of duty in the U.S. Military.

After some initial reluctance, Don's team welcomes Charlie's innovative methods to crime-solving. Their father, Alan (Judd Hirsch), is happy to see his sons working together even though he doesn't understand the intricacies of what Charlie does for a living. It is his co-workers at CalSci who further refine Charlie's approach and help him stay focused. Physicist friend Dr. Larry Fleinhardt (Peter MacNicol) constantly challenges Charlie to employ a broader point of view to his work with the FBI, and Amita Ramanjuan (Navi Rawat), Charlie's former grad student, frequently helps him see cases in a new light Despite their disparate approaches to life, Don and Charlie are able to combine their areas of expertise and solve some killer cases.

Well, watching this TV series totally changed my insight about Mathematics. It totally blew my mind! Since I am an Applied Mathematics student, it inspired me to do better at Math, to concentrate more about it, to give all I got, etc. Well, it simply tells me to LOVE Math even more... It feels like I just wanted to be like him; successful, genius, FBI consultant (lol...that'll be AWESOME!). Because of this series, I got more interested in Math (that's already given 'cause I'm taking up Math in college). Waaaahhhh... I don't know what to say! I just LOVE IT! Watch it, and you'll see why!

The Wonders of Violin

....well, I'm yet to find that out....

Hopefully this coming weekend, I'm going to start my violin lessons. I know that it's not going to be easy yet I still believe that I can master it (haha...pretty confident huh?). Well, I promised my dad that I'd be concentrating on it and that I'd never stop loving the violin (I'd finish his unfinished legacy too..lol...). I just hope that it would be as lovable as I think it is when I start learning how to play it. :)

Right now, I'm trying to feed my mind with violin knowledge since I haven't started attending formal lessons yet. All I can think about now are VIOLINS! Haha...

I think that it! Good Luck to me!

I'm HOOKED! yet again....

The first time I was hooked to something was when I saw 'Bleeding Love' being danced by Chelsea and Mark in SYTYCD.

This time, I'm captivated by the amazing dance routines in Step Up 2: The Streets. The moves were just so amazing especially the last dance routine with the background song 'Bounce', which is so dance-able! haha... I'm so hooked!

Waaahhhh.... I missed dancing again so much! I love to dance! That's my new passion now besides singing!

I probably would write again next time 'cause I'm hooked... lol...

Good Day!

Busy...

That's what I am right now...BUSY!

I wasn't able to blog about something for the past weeks 'cause I'm busy... VERY BUSY!
There were a lot of things to do: school works, dancing, singing and a whole lot more!
Well, my hectic schedule is not yet over until next next week so I expect more empty blogs for a few more days!

Dancing: This week will be full of after-class dancing practices... (The competition is on Monday next week so we've go to prepare! We want GOLD, right!)

Singing: Well, I haven't been attending choir rehearsals 'cause of dancing practices..Though, I still attended the Judgment... (Hope they're not mad!)

School Works: Well, there's a lot of them! Ranging from class works to organization works...

I'm trying to balance my time so I could cope up with all this work! I'm just wishing this would all be over soon! Until then, see yah! Haha...

Hell Days Are OVER!

YAY! Finally, our preliminary exams are over! Hooray! I sure hope I passed all of it, especially the statistics exam, 'cause it was hard, so hard! Haha... Anyways, We have a long weekend ahead 'cause we don't have classes for tomorrow (friday) and monday next week (holiday!). So, right now, all I can do is rest 'cause I still have a very bad cough! I think that's all for it today. See you next post! Thank You Thank You! HAHA... Arrivederci!

Thursday, August 7, 2008

3 Days Later....

Three days after my severe and horrible fever, I got to post something on this blog again! Hooray for that! Unfortunately, next week is a hell week 'cause it's our preliminary exams and I've got to prepare hard for it, so I don't think I'm going to be able to blog at that time. Hmmm.... Anyways, I'm still at my recovery stage after being sick. *coughs* It left me with a severe cough and colds. *sniffs* Well, at least my head is not aching now! I'm also feeling so much better now it's just that my cough and colds is bothering me. I can't breathe that well because of a clogged nose and a "phlegm-bombarded" chest. Well, I'm just hoping that this would be gone by next week or else my sufferings will prevail (lol).
I can't think of anything to write now (what i mean is to 'type') 'cause this post is supposed to be about my sickness only and I'm quite tired of thinking what to say next, so, I think that's it!
P.S: FYI, 39.8C was my temperature when I was sick last Tuesday. Haha! Thought I'd share it! Ciao!

For Tomorrow... Part 2...

waaaahhhh...!!! My body seems to be sick but my mind is fighting it! Well, this could be caused by the bad weather or by the adventure that I've been through lately but I think that it was triggered by the C2 drink I bought early this morning (a liter full of sweetness...haha). With regards to the adventure (haha...a very tiring one!), I apologize for not posting it earlier. I was very busy with schoolworks (as if I'm really doing it! lol...).

Well, the story begins here....

Two nights ago (it was Saturday), I came home late for attending a debut. I wasn't able to stay there for the night 'cause I was accompanying a friend. This friend of mine wasn't allowed to go home very late (actually, it was already 11:30pm when we returned home). Then, when I was about to go off the car that I'm riding, the rain poured extremely hard. I was thinking, what if they (I'm talking about my family here...) already locked the gate. I only have a key to the door but not the gate. Knowing that I don't have any credits left in my phone to call, I still continued walking home (with the rain pouring harder and harder...). Unfortunately, my feelings were right, they DID lock the gate. So, I went around the village looking for an open store, but to my dismay, there weren't any. Then, I went outside our village and decided to go to a gasoline station. I bought a 'cell card' at the counter only to find out that there was a phone booth near the washroom (sorry! too late!). I immediately loaded my phone but the recorded voice said, "Sorry, service is temporary available! Pls. try again later!". I panicked (haha... I exaggerated there a little bit...but it's still raining cats and dogs) but I tried again. Luckily, the load was accepted and I got to call my dad telling him to open the gate 'cause I don't have a key. I went back home and ,NOW, I got to enter our house! *end of the story*

P.S. The story is just a shortcut of what really happened. I'm sick and tired, so i couldn't think of what entirely happened that night. I tell you, if you were in my position that night, you would also be struck by tension and panic. =) Night Everyone! Sorry for any confusing words and grammatical errors. My head is really spinning now! Oh! That's it! I'm off to bed!

Saturday, August 2, 2008

For Tomorrow...

As much as I would want you guys to know what kind of adventure I've experienced 2 hours ago, I can't (haha...)! It's 'cause I'm very sleepy now! zzzzz.... I need to rest! This day is extremely tiring... I'll just post the details tomorrow. haha. I'm sorry to say this but you've got to wait. I'm very tired and I can't think of any word to describe what happened clearly. So, that's all for it now! Don't worry, the climax is for tomorrow! lol... get yourselves ready for tomorrow's BIG post. haha. Good Day Everyone!

RE: Bleeding Love (Lyrical HipHop)

Oh Ehm Gee! I'm so hooked up to Mark and Chelsie's (SYTYCD 4) routine of bleeding love. The choreographer is so BRILLIANT! The dancers, Mark and Chelsie, are also magnificent in this dance number! They gave it all; the emotion, the intensity, EVERYTHING! It brings the house down, y'all! haha... The steps are simple but they made it look like it was a very complicated one. I'm actually trying to learn it now for the benefit of just fulfilling what my interests are right now (dance...dance...). My friend, Sol, is also trying to learn it. We are both addicted to it. It's like an unstoppable virus; you can never unhook yourself from it. I hope me and my friend would be able to memorize the steps by heart and to perform it by heart as well. YEAH! Rock On!

Sol, if you're reading this (which is possibly happening right now!), WE CAN DO THIS! lol...

Bleeding Love (Lyrical HipHop).... So COOL! =)

My First Week for this School Year...

It was fine!

It was hard (very hard!) to get a ride home... The least time for waiting was an hour or less and the maximum time was more or less an hour and thirty minutes.. *phew* My foot aches; my shoulder aches... everything aches!

I believe my subjects went well for the first week... Loved the professors! They were nice (well, i hope!).

Actually, this week was not a stressful one; the only stress was the ride home.

Hope to have a wonderful week ahead again!!!

(hmmm... 2 more years 'til graduation! i'm excited to work! lol...)

"A Relationship"

This is a poem made by me, 'IAN' Yang ning Gao... I know it's not perfect but please consider 'cause I'm not really GREAT into writing stuffs like this. BTW, this is not my story. I was just inspired into writing this one because of all the romance and drama in the air (LOL.. = P). So, here it goes:

We could've done much better
if you only stayed a little longer
Time moved so fast
I never knew such relationship won't last

I wanted you back
but You kept my sayings in a sack
I held you so tight
but we couldn't really stop our fight

Now I know
It's right to let you go
The past is past, It's time to move on
My feelings for you are long gone

The time has come for a new commitment
I hope this would not be a short segment
My love for this person is true
But then came my thoughts of you

Sleepless nights continuously occurred
My thoughts of you are not yet burned
My love for you comes back to life
but unfortunately, I'm already having a wife.

WeeMee!

OOOPPPSSS!!! It just won't FIT!

Stranded!

Transport Strike + Rain + Tons of People Looking for a Ride = HEAVY TRAFFIC!

This day brought us a whole lot of stress and BOREDOM! We were on the road for about 2 hours because of the heavy traffic it has brought us. If we haven't thought of taking a detour, maybe we would have gotten out of that jam for more than 5 hours. The detour was a lot faster although it gave us a little bit of stress in the end 'cause we were so near yet the traffic (too bad TRAFFIC is everywhere!) made it far. Luckily, we made it (home at last!) and good thing our car didn't let us down (NO overheating!).

I wanted to write more about this experience but I think it's now time to rest. I feel like all of my stored energy was depleted from that bad situation we had moments ago (hours really but it felt like it was just a moment ago).

Until my next post, CIAO!

Mother's Day (Giorno Della Madre Felice!)

Before the day ends, I would like to greet MY mom and every mother out there a very Happy Mother's Day! Thanks for your undying love for us. Your unfathomable patience for caring and loving us is very promising. I hope you'll never stop what good things you're doing right now! For everything you've done, big or small, a BIG thanks (grazie!) to you!

Empty Blog...

"Empty Blog"

That is the last title in my multiply blog which is, if you have seen it, a blog that is so-not-updated. Well, that is because I don't have time for blogging and writing stuffs and blah blah blah. Actually, I'm not really into blogging but since everybody is doing it, why shouldn't I give it another shot? In fact, what I'm trying to do now is to post at least once a week (daily is way better but I don't think I can do that). BTW, this is my first post *obviously* for my first week because, as some people would call it, I'm a newbie here *Lol*. Anyways, since it's summer here (meaning, there's a LOT of free time...I suppose), I'll TRY to do my best in updating this new venture in blogging; the past ones are failures. So, in conclusion, I'll be updating this blog more often than those past blogs I've been using. If this would turn out right, then GOOD, if not, then BAD! haha...so long, readers (if there's any), until my next post, CIAO!
